Rumah Adat Karo Garista sebagai Destinasi Wisata Budaya Karo di Kota Medan

Abstract

The Karo Garista Traditional House is a tourist destination located in the city of Medan with its traditional houses and ornaments which are cultural tourism. Because this traditional house was moved from Pernantin Village, Kec. Juhar The purpose of this research is to find out the steps and solutions so that Garista can become a favorite tourist destination, besides introducing Garista to the wider community. The research method used was Library Research and Field Research to obtain the data and information needed from the tourist destinations studied through direct interviews with the manager of Garista. Tourism activities have 10 cultural elements that become tourist attractions, namely: crafts, traditions, history of a place, architecture, traditional food, dance and music, the way of life of the local community, religion, language, and traditional traditional clothing.
