Analisis Perkembangan Inflasi terhadap Indeks Harga Konsumen di Sumatera Utara Menggunakan Regresi Robust

Abstract

Inflation is a condition where the price of goods or services increases continuously which affects the value of money. In North Sumatra, the year to date (ytd) inflation rate for December 2022 was 6.12%. Regression analysis is a method used to determine the relationship between variables. There are several methods used in parameter estimation of linear regression analysis, one of which is the least squares method (OLS). The OLS method has a weakness when there are outlier data or there are outliers. So Robust Regression can be used in dealing with outlier data. Robust regression has many estimates, one of which is the M estimate. The results of this study are the discovery of 3 outlier data.
