| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study is determining the influence of a knowledge, factors
motivation, the role farmers, capital, and age on the decision of farmers involved
in the commodity market in Kabupaten Dairi, North Sumatra Province.
Determining the study area purposive and to take samples using saturated
sampling methods (census). In analyzing data using binary logit analysis methods
and using test tools in Microsoft Office programs and Statistical Program and
Service Solution (SPSS) 29. The answers from the 32 farmers were classified into
two categories, namely involved in the commodity market and not involved in the
commodity market. Known that farmers involved in the commodity market were
22 people with a percentage of 68.8 percent and for farmers who were not
involved in the commodity market as many as 10 people with a percentage of 31.2
percent. The results showed that the variables of knowledge, motivation, role of
farmer group, source of capital and age simultaneously influence farmers'
decisions to engage in commodity markets. Knowledge and motivation have a
partial significant effect on farmers' decisions to engage in commodity markets.
Meanwhile, the role of farmer groups, capital sources and age do not have a
partial significant effect on farmers' decisions to engage in commodity markets. | en_US |
