dc.description.abstractThe cassava product that is most widely produced by the public is processed cassava chips. To produce cassava chips, the thickness of the slices needs to be considered, where this research aims to determine the diameter of the pulley that is good to use. The thickness of the sliced cassava chips is based on the distance of the cutting knife and to increase the processing capacity with a cassava slicer it is based on the diameter of the pulley used, where the steps carried out are that the cassava being tested is cleaned and peeled, which is then put into a slicing machine with a diameter of 4 inches, 6 inches, and 8 inches. Then the parameters were observed: Effective Capacity of the Tool (kg/hour), Yield (%), and Percentage of material that was not perfectly sliced and good results were found on pulley 4 with data of 356.33 kg/hour, 93.7% and 4, 2% with three repetitions of treatment.en_US
