dc.description.abstract | Modification is a change or planning of form either partially or completely intended to get better results and improve the quality of the tool. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of making it easier for farmers in post-harvest handling and can also function as a tool that can be used for small businesses, especially the fried onion business. Modifications made to this tool are in the blade section with the number of 1 piece, 2 pieces, 3 pieces, on the shaft, and the addition of a hopper. This research uses the Complete Randomized Design (CRD) method. The results showed that the highest effective capacity of the tool was at the number of blades 3 (X3) amounting to (80.237 kg/hour). The lowest percentage of material left behind is at the ruanber of blades 1 (X1) amounting to (3.33%). The largest yield is at the number of blades I (X1)
