Making cassava chips in the general public is still done manually, so to overcome this, a cassava slicer was made. This study aims to test the performance of additional blades used with different number of blades in the process of making cassava chips. This study used a non-factorial complete randomized design. The number of blades used in this study were: 1 pieces, 2 pieces and 3 pieces. The parameters tested were effective tool capacity, percentage of material left behind, yield. In this study, the number of blades that are best used is a blade with a number of 2 piece. The results showed that the effective capacity of the tool was (51.87 kg/hour) at the number of blades 3 pieces (M3). The percentage of material left in the tool is the largest (6.17 %) at the number of blades 3 pieces (M3). The largest yield (94.97 %) at the number of blades 1 piece (M1).en_US
