| dc.description.abstract | This research tries to describe Strategy of the Organisasi Angkatan Muda
Pembaharuan Indonesia (AMPI) in winning legislative candidates in Medan City,
namely M. Rizki Nugraha in the 2019 legislative elections in electoral district IV of
Medan City. The success of an AMPI political strategy by contestants or political
parties in observing strategies, the needs of community aspirations, planning and
implementing programs to obstacles that affect the acquisition of candidate victory
results in elections. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method which is an
analysis of facts or events systematically and accurately about the nature of the
research based on the data obtained. The data collection technique uses interviews
and library techniques.
The results of the research in this thesis are that there are several strategies carried
out by AMPI towards candidate M. Rizki Nugara, namely an offensive strategy
carried out through a programmatic campaign strategy, patronage politics.
Making face-to-face meetings, dissemination through print media and social media
to deliver campaign materials such as conveying vision, mission and programs
verbally to the public without intimidation but rather education. Program offerings,
namely equitable development in electoral district IV, namely Medan Amplas,
Medan Denai, Medan Area and Medan Kota sub-districts, participating in the
success of AMPI North Sumatra programs, namely e-money-based KTA, as well as
raising UMKM, around us and political education and others. While the defensive
