A Description of Bound Morpheme in Joseph Jacob's Three Selected Fairy Tales

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the bound morphemes in three fairy tales by Joseph Jacob. This paper is intended to find out how to use bound morphemes and their meanings in the three fairy tales. the writer uses descriptive qualitative method. From the three fairy tales, the writer found 75 for derivational morpheme and 128 for inflectional morpheme. From the data, the writer found that each morpheme has its function and impact the meaning, class of word or the grammatical function of the base word. By this paper, people know how prefixes and suffixes affect the word.
