The present paper discusses Batak Simalungun's tradition of giving a sort of food named "Manuk (Dayok) Na Binatur" or "arranged cooked rooster" to attain better results in running life in the future. It is traditionally done as a habit because there is a particular belief that delivering food will bring good fortune. In short, to deliver Manuk (Dayok) Na Binatur is to have a thank-giving expression for something better. The cultural function and symbolic meaning are hidden culturally in Simalungun tradition. The theory applied is commonly known as Simalungun tradition in terms of Simalungun culture. The method is qualitative research describing data of that Manuk (Dayok) Na Binatur; the researcher read journals, books and websites to get the data. To obtain data, the researcher also conducted an unstructured interview to receive information directly and answers from the informants so that the writer could obtain more precise information about the meaning of chicken head, Wings, and leg. And then taking the conclusion. The delivery of Manuk (Dayok) Na Binatur is symbolically thanksgiving and is functionally a hope to attain a better life.
