| dc.description.abstract | This research is titled "Construction of Feminist Reality in the Film 'Kim Ji Young: Born1982' (Semiotic Analysis of the Film 'Kim Ji-Young: Born 1982:
Karya Kim Do-Young)". The objective of this study is to understand how the
feminist reality is constructed in the film 'Kim Ji-Young: Born 1982' by Kim Do Young. The research employs Roland Barthes' semiotic theory and adopts a
qualitative approach with interpretative methods that require the researcher to
provide arguments in interpreting the object of study. Data for this research is
collected directly from the scenes depicted in the film, as well as through
literature research. The analysis in this study employs Roland Barthes' five
semiotic codes. The findings of this research reveal the feminist message conveyed
in the film 'Kim Ji-Young: Born 1982' through Lexia analysis, and provide
insights into the social reality of feminist issues portrayed in the film based on the
5 Reading Codes. The identified constructions of reality in the film 'Kim Ji-Young:
Born 1982' include the presence of patriarchy in the domestic sphere,
discrimination in the public sphere, gender wage gaps, limitations on women's
roles, objectification of women, violence against women, subordination of women,
and marginalization of women. | en_US |
