dc.description.abstract | This research aims to be able to find out and describe the problems
associated with school dropouts and the coordination of local government
agencies in Deli Serdang Regency, which in this case leads to the Education
Office and the Social Service of Deli Serdang Regency. This research is important
to get an overview of dropouts and coordination between the Education Office
and the Social Service of Deli Serdang Regency.
This research uses descriptive research methods with a qualitative
approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by interview, observation,
secondary data and literature study. Interviews were conducted with the Head of
the Development and Non-Formal Education Section of the Deli Serdang Regency
Education Office, the Head of the Social Rehabilitation Section of the Deli
Serdang Regency Social Service, the Head of Rantau Panjang Village Affairs and
School Dropouts.
The results of the study show the following: First, in general, children who
drop out of school in Rantau Panjang Village are boys whose average age is 11 to
18 years old and stop school mostly in grades 4 and 5; Second, there is a lack of
coordination between the Education Office and the Deli Serdang Regency Social
Service as evidenced by the absence of unity of action between the two agencies | en_US |
