A Description of The Main Characters in The Movie ‘Purple Hearts’

Abstract

The title of the paper is "Description of the Main Characters and challenges found in the movie Purple Hearts". The problem and purpose of this study is to find out the main characters and challenges depicted in the film . The method used by the author in this study is qualitative description to obtain cert ain data by searching and collecting several books related to the description of the main character in literary wo rks. Then, the writer watches the film repeatedly and quotes sentences or words that indicate the main character and challenge, and then descr ibes them. In the main character and challenge, there are two characters who are considered as the main characters because they dominate the whole story. They are Cassie and Luke. In this paper, the author uses the theory of the main character by Mario Kla rer (2004). The description of this paper will describe the description of the main characters and challenges of C assie and Luke, as well as describe the love between Cassie and Luke . They have a fake marriage which is considered a challenge. They cite the ir fake marriage from friends, family and the environment, which is also a challenge for Cassie and Luke.
