This paper discussed about the purpose and value of Horse Racing in Aceh Gayo society. The Gayo people, especially the people of Bener Meriah, have very high cultural values, one of which is the traditional horse racing activity that has been cultivated among the Gayo people as an annual sports entertainment event that has been held until now. In the event, many people come from various regions in Bener Meriah and from other regions to watch the sport that has become an annual cultural party. This research uses a qualitative approach. Horse Racing culture in strengthening community social relations, namely as a place of friendship, brotherhood, contains high philosophical meaning. Moral values are values that serve as good or bad standards for one's behavior and actions. If a person's actions are in accordance with the sense of value prevailing in society, then that person is considered to have good morals, and vice versa. The realization of moral or ethical education values in the organization of horse racing The realization of educational values related to the horse racing tradition is specifically carried out by the committee, community leaders and trainers. The essential cultural values contained in the sport of horse racing have a major influence on the progress of the Gayo Highlands region which is able to provide innovation through superior tourism routes that are always based on local wisdom activities.
