| dc.description.abstract | Background : Since long time ago, people have used many plants for various medication, including acne. One of the factors is an infection that caused by Propionibacterium acnes bacteria. Acne treatment can be done by giving antibiotics, yet antibiotics can cause a resistance. Cosmetics that can keep and maintain the skin health by using natural ingredients can be an alternative treatment for acne, such as a combination serum of chemical and zaitun olive oil ingredients which has been proven to have antibacterial activity.
Purpose : This research aims to know Antibacterial Activity Of Face Serum Combined With Nanogold, Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen, And Zaitun Olive Oil Against Propionibacterium acnes by looking inhibition zone as a positive result of Antibacterial Activity.
Method : Antibacterial Activity Test Of Face Serum Combined With Nanogold, Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen, And Zaitun Olive Oil Against Propionibacterium acnes was carried out in Microbiology Laboratory, Faculty of Pharmacy University of North Sumatera with facial serum originating from the factory. This study serum wajah yang berasal dari Pabrik. This research is using Disk Diffusion Method (kirby & baur test)
Result : Showed that the serum has a good antibacterial activity as indicated by the formation of the inhibition zone at the five concentration various with an average diameter is 9,06-10,87 mm
Conclusion : The inovation of Serum combination of Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen, Nanogold, and Zaitun Olive Oil is positive containing antibacterial activity. | en_US |
