    Abstract
In order to achieve a transition towards a more sustainable society, renewable energy plays a pivotal role in creating a clean energy system, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and improving the quality of life for the present and future generations. The research is located on Jalan Dusun Sedar, Galang District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. Field observation and data analysis methods will be employed in the study. The objective of this research is to obtain values for power, electrical energy, and efficiency from photovoltaics used in an IoT-based automatic fish feeder device. The electrical power requirement to operate the IoT-based automatic fish feeder device is 48.75 watts. Sunlight intensity begins to rise from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm with an average of 787.75 - 913.44 W/m2 at an average temperature of 33.8 – 36.9 ˚C. Photovoltaics can generate electrical power of 22.75 watts per hour, resulting in a daily electrical energy output of 159.25 Wh and a daily average efficiency of 6.91%. The research findings indicate that temperature and wind speed do not directly influence the absorption of sunlight by photovoltaics.
