| dc.description.abstract | The discussion in this paper focuses on the function and meaning of
Garo Garo Dance
movements, a dance performed to welcome the harvest period. The author collected data
from the internet and Pakpak culture, searches from relevant sources, such as books,
supported by journals and interviews. The purpose of this writing is to find out the local
wisdom of the Pakpak people from the Garo Garo dance. The method used is qualitative
descriptive method. Fro m the data, the function and meaning of Garo Garo Dance
movements in Pakpak culture were found. The description in this paper is based on the theory
contained in a collection of several papers/journals on the internet that explain the function of
Garo Garo dance and the meaning of its movements. In writing this paper, the author looks
for references about the function and meaning of the Garo Garo Dance Movement. Therefore,
the author hopes that people will learn more about Garo Garo dance and its functions and
