dc.description.abstractThis paper entitled “THE DESCRIPTION OF FIGURATIVE LANGUAGE IN BRUNO MAJOR’S SELECTED SONG”. The objective of this study is to describe the types of figurative language in Bruno Major’s selected song found in Bruno Major's selected song and to describe the dominant type of figurative language in Bruno Major’s selected song found in Bruno Major’s selected song. The theory used in this paper is Abrams’s theory in book Glossary of Literary Terms. The source of the data from this research is in the form of song lyrics from Bruno Major’s selected songs entitled Nothing, To let a good thing die, The most beautiful thing, columbo, easily. The method used by the researcher is a qualitative descriptive method. The figurative language in Bruno Major’s selected song found in this paper is metaphor, hyperbole, simile, personification, metonymy, paradox, alliteration, allegory, allusion, epithet , symbol and irony. The dominant type of figurative language in Bruno Major’s found in this paper is metaphorical figurative language in Bruno Major’s selected song.en_US
