Pengaruh Motivasi Kerja terhadap Kinerja Pegawai Melalui Kepuasan Kerja sebagai Variabel Intervening pada Perusahaan Umum Daerah Pasar Kota Medan
Abstract
Medan City Market Regional Public Company is a regional-owned enterprise that assists and supports the Regional Government in order to improve the welfare of the community, especially in the provision of market facilities and infrastructure, so it must be supported by the ability of qualified employees. This study aims to determine and analyze how the influence of work motivation on employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable in the Medan City Market PUD. The method used in this study is using explanatory research with a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques through the dissemination of questionnaires and documentation. This research uses Robbins' theory of employee performance which consists of quality, quantity, punctuality, ef ectiveness and independence. And using the theory of afandi, namely the theory of work motivation and job satisfaction, then made into several statement items and distributed to 191 respondents. Later all data obtained will be processed using the smartPLS application with the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis method. Based on the analysis carried out, it is known that the influence of work motivation on employee performance is positive and significant as indicated by the positive sign at the coef icient value of 0.829 and the p-value of 0.000 0.05. Which means that H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected, this is because the influence of work motivation on employee performance through job satisfaction has a p-value of 0.152 or >0.05. It can be concluded that there is no influence of work motivation on the performance of PUD Pasar Kota Medan employees through job satisfaction.
