Strategi Public Relations PT Telkom Witel Sumut dalam Memperkenalkan Produk Orbit di Kota Pematangsiantar
Abstract
This Research Is Entitled "Public relations Strategy Of Pt Telkom Witel North Sumatra In
Presenting Of Orbit Products In The City Of Pematangsiantar". The purpose of this study
is to determine the Public relations strategy implemented by PT Telkom Witel North
Sumatra in increasing brand awareness of Orbit products. Theories and concepts in this
study are Communication, Public Relations, Marketing Public Relations, Roles And
Functions Of Public Relations, Public relations Strategy, Public relations Strategy With A
Mix Of P.E.N.C.I.L.S (publication, events, news, community involvement, Lobbying, social
responsibility. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research methods.
Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and literature study. The
number of informants in this study were five people who were determined based on the
purposive sampling technique. The informant is the PIC of the North Sumatra Witel Orbit
unit Pematangsiantar city, assibootht manager of the marketing and consumer service
division at North Sumatra Witel, Orbit agent, Orbit users and the public who use North
Sumatra Witel products. The results of this study revealed that the North Sumatra Witel
Public relations strategy implemented a mix of Public relations strategies, namely
P.E.N.C.I.L.S. publication, events, news, community involvement, Lobbying, social
responsibility and there was one direct promotion strategy implemented by the company.
The conclusion that can be drawn in this study is that the strategy implemented is quite
good because through this strategy it can increase the awareness of Orbit products,
although it requires further improvement so that the strategy can effective.
