Analisis Kandungan Residu Pestisida Golongan Piretroid Berbahan Aktif Sipermetrin dan Deltametrin pada Beras (Oryza sativa L.) dengan Menggunakan Metode Kromatografi Gas
Abstract
Background: Rice is the main commodity as a staple food where rice/rice plants always use pesticides, starting from seed treatment, when the soil starts to dry up to when it is stored in warehouses in the form of grain and rice. One of the pesticides that is often used is the pyrethroid group containing the active ingredients cypermethrin and deltamethrin. The negative impact of exceeding the specified maximum residue limit can cause health problems.
Objective: This study aims to determine the results of the presence or absence of pesticides containing the active ingredients cypermethrin and deltamethrin in the rice tested and whether the levels obtained meet the BMR set by the Ministry of Agriculture.
Method: Rice samples were taken from one of the shops on Pembangunan road, Kec. Medan Selayang, North Sumatra. Determination of cypermethrin and deltamethrin pesticide residue levels in rice was carried out at the UPT Pesticide Residue and Quality Testing Laboratory. PTPH North Sumatra Province. Sample extraction used 50 ml of acetone and dichloromethane solvents each. The extraction results were concentrated and then dissolved with isooctane and toluene (9:1 v/v) in 5 ml. The extract was analyzed using gas chromatography with an HP-5 column; ECD detector; column temperature 270ºC; injector temperature 290ºC; detector temperature 290ºC; mobile phase N2 gas (flow rate 30 ml/min) and He gas (flow rate 5 ml/min); and the injection volume is 1 μl.
Results: The results showed that the rice tested detected cypermethrin pesticide residues with an average level of 0.2765 mg/kg. And the cypermethrin content in rice meets the BMR requirements set by the Ministry of Agriculture (2 mg/kg). Meanwhile, deltamethrin showed that deltamethrin was not detected.
Conclusion: The pesticide residue levels of deltamethrin and cypermethrin in rice meet the MRLs set by the Minister of Agriculture.
