dc.description.abstract | This research aims to to know the status and role of women in the concept of
Boru Ni Raja, to know the status and role of women in the concept of Inang
Soripada, to know the status and role of women as openers of new relationships, to
see the community's view of women in the Dalihan Na Tolu structure of the Toba
Batak community (Case study of the Partor Janjimatogu Village community, Uluan
District, Toba Regency, North Sumatra Province). This type of research is
descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection uses participant
observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The researcher is the main
instrument. In this study, the target of research is the Toba Batak community who
understands the structure of Dalihan Na Tolu and how the status and role of women
can be obtained.The results showed: Status Boru Ni raja with the role of parhobas
and manomba (worship/respect) hula-hula. Inang Soripada status with roles in the
domestic environment, such as washing sweeping, taking care of children and other
household chores, other roles are roles in the social environment, such as being
parhobas (workers), who provide / prepare everything for the smooth running of
the event / party. women's status as the opening of a new relationship with marriage
with the role of giving birth to sons. With a new status after marriage, namely
parumaen from inang simatua. the community's view of women in the Dalihan Na
Tolu structure is seen from the status and role that women get in their environment. | en_US |
