Program Literasi Informasi Bagi Pemustaka di UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Medan

Abstract

The final year project thesis was done on the Library of Medan State University. The objective of this study was to examine how the information literacy program was conducted by the Library of Medan State University. The research data collection methods include literature review, observation, and interviews. The results of the study describe the information literacy program at the Library of Medan State University, including introduction of the library to new students, socialization on the access to online collections subscribed by the library, as well as information literacy classes. There are several challenges for the information literacy program at the Library of Medan State University, namely the lack of human resources and computer facilities for the information literacy class.
