dc.description.abstractThis study aims to describe how Batu Gantung occur as a folklore and describe the moral teachings contained in Batu Gantung folklore. The method applied in writing this paper is a search method from the internet, journals, and asking informants. The writer uses qualitative descriptive methods to find and collect and describe by develop data and making conclusions. After describe the Batu Gantung, we can find out how the Batu Gantung came to be as a folklore and we also know what moral teaching we get from the Batu Gantung folklore, conclusion can be drawn as follows: 1. There are four moral teachings that we can take from the Batu Gantung folklore, including: Greediness, Selfishness, Hopeless, and Nerrow minded 2. The four moral teachings are used to strengthen social and cultural values in society 3. The moral teachings contained in the Batu Gantung folklore are still relevant to use in today's modern lifeen_US
