dc.description.abstractThis paper discussed about the description of love theme in Daniel Bedingfield‟s song lyrics. This study aims to describe the type of love theme and the dominant type of love found in the lyrics of Daniel Bedingfield‟s selected song lyrics. Qualitative descriptive method was used in this study with the theory of love theme from John A. Lee. Primary data in the form of 9 Daniel Bedingfield song lyrics from Gotta Get Thru This Album entitled: Gotta Get Thru This, James Dean ( I Wanna know), If you’re not the one, I Can't Read You, Never gonna leave your side, Blown it Again, He don’t love you like I love you, Honest Question, and Girlfriend. Literature research is also applicable to this paper to support the analysis of the theme of love and required information from relevant books or other sources. After describing the data, the writer found many types of love themes in Daniel Bedingfield‟s chosen songs, namely Eros, Ludus, Philia, Mania, Pragma, and Agape. From the six love theme found, the writer finds that Pragma is a love theme that is often used in these songs.en_US
