dc.description.abstractThis study aims to determine how the influence of the number of industries, the minimum wage level and the total value of output on the absorption of labor in the large and medium industrial sector in North Sumatra. This research is a quantitative research. The type of data used is secondary data in the form of time series data in the period from 1999 to 2018. The data is obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of North Sumatra Province. The method used is multiple linear regression analysis using the E-views 10 program. The results of the study indicate that the number of industries has a positive and insignificant effect on employment in the large and medium industrial sectors in North Sumatra. The minimum wage level has a significant negative effect on employment in the large and medium industrial sectors in North Sumatra. The total output value has a positive and significant effect on employment in the large and medium industrial sector in North Sumatra.en_US
