Dampak Kenaikan Harga BBM terhadap Naiknya Harga Sembilan Bahan Pokok di Kota Padangsidempuan

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the extent to which the influence or impact of the increase in fuel prices has on rising food prices in the market, especially in the city of Padangsidempuan. As well as knowing the extent to which this increase in fuel has an impact on consumer demand for groceries and the impact on the income of traders. This study uses a quantitative descriptive analysis method The population in this study were basic food traders registered in Padangsidempuan City with the category of traders selling in 6 markets namely Sanggumpal Bonang Market, Tax Stone, Dalihan Natolu, Saroha Padangmatinggi, Tangsi Manungga and Lubuk Raya Market. Sampling in this study used the slovin formula and obtained respondents as many as 100 traders. The type of data used in this study is primary data with interview and questionnaire data collection techniques. The results of this study indicate that the independent variable (fuel prices) has an effect on the dependent variable (groceries prices, traders' demand and income). The results of the hypothesis show that there is a difference in the price of basic commodities, before and after the increase in fuel. There are differences in demand for basic foods before and after the increase in fuel prices and finally there are differences in the income of basic food traders before and after the increase in fuel prices.
