| dc.description.abstract | The correspondence has a very important role in an organization such as a written evidence in the process of delivering information/news whose roles cannot be replaced, even with the use of communication technology. Organizations that have good letter handling can facilitate administrative activities, especially related to correspondence activities. This research is in the form of the process of handling incoming letters and outgoing letters at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of North Sumatra. This study aims to find out how the process of handling incoming and outgoing mail at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of North Sumatra. To achieve clear and focused research, this research was conducted using a qualitative method using primary data, namely the results of interviews with the Secretary to the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of North Sumatra. The results of this study indicate that the handling of incoming and outgoing mail at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of North Sumatra is still done manually, but from 2022 until right now (2023) some incoming letters will be processed using the USU digital e-office system and also some letters issued through One Stop Application (ASA) Faculty of Economics and Business, University of North Sumatra. In order for the handling of incoming and outgoing letters to be carried out effectively, it is best to handle incoming and outgoing letters entirely digitally to make it easier to send and receive information. | en_US |
