Pengukuran Laju Paparan Radiasi dan Efektivitas Perisai Radiasi Pada Ruang Panoramik di RSUD Dr.Pirngadi Kota Medan”
Abstract
Research has been carried out on measuring the rate of radiation exposure and the
effectiveness of radiation shielding in the panoramic room at RSUD DR. Pirngadi,
Medan City. This research aims to determine the amount of radiation and the
effectiveness of the walls of the panoramic room in absorbing radiation emitted by
the panoramic aircraft, as well as knowing the level of safety in the room around the
panoramic room in accordance with the dose limit values for workers and the
surrounding community. Measurements were carried out at several points on the
walls of the panoramic room using a radiation measuring instrument, namely the
Babyline Surveymeter. The results showed that the amount of radiation at the rear
point of the entrance was 0.0002362 mSv/year, the point behind the operator's glass
was 0.000288 mSv/year, the toilet wall point behind the source was 0.0009216
mSv/year, the corridor point was 0 mSv/year. year, rear wall point of source archive
room is 0.00016992 mSv/year. Where these values do not exceed tolerance limits
and meet BAPETEN regulatory standards No.8 of 2011. The effectiveness results for
each barrier point are 96.47% for door barriers, 90.9% for operator glass barriers,
80% for toilet walls. , Corridors at 100%, Archive room walls at 96.72%. The
research results show that the effectiveness of the wall is only able to absorb
radiation of more than 90%, with the wall category still being very good and in
accordance with predetermined standards.
