Breast cancer or malignant breast tumors are a group of cells that attack the tissue in the breast and surrounding areas that grow and develop uncontrollably, and can metastasize to other organs throughout the body. According to 2020 data, breast cancer ranks first among all types of cancer in Indonesia. One method for early detection of breast cancer is by doing BSE. Aims. To determine the level of knowledge, attitudes and behavior of Breast self- examination (BSE.) Method. This type of research is descriptive observational research with a cross sectional design using simple random sampling techniques. Primary data was collected using a questionnaire method using a questionnaire which was distributed directly to class 12 students at SMAN 1 Batusangkar. Results. The majority of respondents' level of knowledge had sufficient knowledge, 42 people (64.4%), 14 people (21.5%) had good knowledge, and 9 people (13.8%) had poor knowledge. The majority of respondents had a very good attitude, 37 people (56.9%), and 28 people (43.1%) had a good attitude. The majority of behavioral respondents had quite good behavior, 35 people (53.8%), 11 people (16.9%) had good behavior, and 19 people (29.2%) had bad behavior. Conclusion. The level of knowledge of female students at SMAN 1 Batusangkar about BSE is sufficient. The attitude of female students at SMAN 1 Batusangkar regarding BSE is very good. The behavior of female students at SMAN 1 Batusangkar regarding BSE is quite good. | en_US |
