dc.description.abstractIndonesian Farmers Cooperative (KPI) which is the embodiment of the cooperative concept. Consciously formed by farmers who are members of the Indonesian Peasant Union (SPI) throughout Indonesia as an independent economic institution through agricultural businesses or plantations produced by SPI members. KPI as a cooperative that is independent and does not depend on parties/institutions, upholds humanity, social justice and cares for the preservation of nature to realize the welfare of farmers. The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the effect of Indonesian farmer cooperatives (KPI) consisting of (understanding, benefits, external influences, income expectations and constraints) on the palm sugar economy in Pamah village, Silinda sub-district, Serdang Bedagai district. This type of research is descriptive quantitative based on the philosophy of positivism, data collection using multiple linear regression using SPSS For Windows. The results showed that the understanding of the Indonesian Farmers Cooperative (KPI) had no effect on the palm sugar economy in Pamah village, Silinda sub-district, Serdang Bedagai district. The results showed that the benefits of the Indonesian Farmers Cooperative (KPI) had no effect on the palm sugar economy in Pamah village, Silinda sub-district, Serdang Bedagai district. The results showed that the external influence on the Indonesian Farmers Cooperative (KPI) had no effect on the palm sugar economy in Pamah village, Silinda subdistrict, Serdang Bedagai district. The results showed that income expectations of the Indonesian Farmers Cooperative (KPI) had a positive effect on the palm sugar economy in Pamah village, Silinda sub-district, Serdang Bedagai district. The results showed that the barriers to the Indonesian Farmers Cooperative (KPI) had a positive effect on the palm sugar economy in Pamah village, Silinda sub-district, Serdang Bedagai district.en_US
