| dc.description.abstract | Tebing Tinggi City as one of the cities in Indonesia has a relatively high TFR. According to the results of the 2010 Population Census, the TFR of Tebing Tinggi City was 2.67, a slight decrease compared to the results of Susenas 2000-2002, which reached a value of 2.73. Considering that the TFR value of Tebing Tinggi City is still far from the national TFR target of 2.1, researchers are interested in conducting research to find out what factors affect fertility in the region. The purpose of this study is to determine how the factors of wife's years of education, family income, wife's first marriage age, wife's working status and unmet need status affect fertility. This study was conducted partially, i.e. measuring the partial relationship between each independent variable which includes length of education, family income, age at first marriage, working status and unmet need status with the dependent variable, namely fertility. This study used multiple linear regression analysis model with data analysis using SPSS software program. The results of this study indicate that the variable of wife's length of education has a significant effect and is negatively related to fertility, the variable of wife's first marriage age has a significant effect and is negatively related to fertility, the variable of wife's working status has a significant effect and is negatively related to fertility while the variable of unmet need has no significant effect but is negatively related to fertility. | en_US |
