Dampak Lokasi Perpustakaan Umum Terhadap Pengguna pada Dinas Perpustakaan dan Arsip Kabupaten Labuhanbatu Selatan

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the impact of the library's location at the library and archives service of South Labuhanbatu Regency. This research was conducted at the Library and Archives Service on Mhd Yamin Sh Street, Pinang City Library and Archives office, North Sumatra, South Labuhanbatu Regency, Pinang City. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method using observation, interview and documentation data collection techniques. Interviews were conducted with informants who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data sources of this research were primary data and secondary data. The informants in this study comprised six people, consisting of three library managers and three library visitors. The data analysis techniques used were data collection, data condensation, data presentation and conclusion drawing, which aim to analyze relevant and meaningful data. The results of this study indicated that the library location's impact on users at the Library and Archive Service of South Labuhanbatu Regency has not fulfilled several indicators such as travel distance, travel time, ease of access, comfort, environmental conditions, and lobby. However, its implementation has fulfilled several indicators, namely location support infrastructure and parking locations.
