dc.description.abstractThe research discusses the movement of the Perempuan Hari Ini (PHI) community in rejecting the Beauty 4.0 beauty standards contained in the social media Instagram. Perempuan Hari Ini (PHI) community is a community that focuses on issues closely related to women. This research focuses on the Perempuan Hari Ini (PHI) community in terms of the Liberal Feminism movement. The research method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of interviews, observation and documentation. Based on research conducted, it shows that the Perempuan Hari Ini (PHI) community is an organized community, a feminist community and has critical awareness regarding the existence of Beauty 4.0 beauty standards on Instagram social media. Beauty standards that occur on Instagram social media are often influenced by filters that support the beauty of its users. In Indonesia, a woman's beauty is seen from her skin color, which tends to be white and her hair is straight. This encourages the emergence of beauty standards by using filters found on Instagram social media. This community has carried out several movements aimed at rejecting the Beauty 4.0 beauty standards on Instagram. The movements they make are against the body shaming, encouraging beauty diversity, prioritizing freedom in expressing beauty, and raising awareness about the impact of beauty standards.en_US
