dc.description.abstract | This research aims to determine the relationship peer attachment to the adjustment of adolescents in orphanages Pembangun Didikan Islam in Medan city. This research used quantitave methods with a sample of 30 repondents. To measure the level of peer attachment using Armsden & Greenberg’s theory with aspects namely comunication, trust and alienation. Meanwhile, to measure self-adjustment using Schneiders’theory with aspect namely self knowledge and self insight, Adaptability, self control and self development, and adequate perspective, scale of values, philoshopy of life. In analyzing the magnitude of the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable, a simple linear regression analysis model was used which has passed the classical assumption test. From the result of a simple liniar regression analysis, the peer attachment variable has a positive and significant influence on the adjustment variable for adolescents in orphaneges Pembangun Didikan Islam in Medan city. The result of the coefficcient of determination test show that the peer attachment variable has an influence of 47,9% on adolescent self-adjustment, while the remaining 52,1% is influenced by other factors not explained in the research. The result of the hypothesis test show that 2,885 > 1,701 which means Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, so it can be concluded that peer attachment has a relationship with adolescent self-adjustment. | en_US |
