Evaluasi Pelayanan Pendidikan PKBM di Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak Kelas I Kota Medan

Abstract

Special Children's Development Institutions (LPKA) are obliged to provide education, skills training, and foster children's other fulfillment in accordance with statutory regulations. The aim of this research is to find out how the PKBM education program is implemented at the Medan Class I Children's Special Development Institute. This research used a purposive sampling technique with eleven informants consisting of two key informants, six main informants and three additional informants. Data collection techniques use qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach through interviews, observation and documentation. The results show that the Input Evaluation focuses on the PKBM Education program equal to packages A, B and C, staff and teachers as service providers and assisted children as targets of the program, facilities and infrastructure as facilities of the PKBM program. Process Evaluation focuses on the implementation of the PKBM program, the quality of the PKBM program and the quantity of assisted children who take part in the PKBM program. Evaluation of the results in this research leads to the success of the assisted children in participating in the PKBM program by obtaining diplomas according to packages A, B and C, and the researchers also looked at the changes that occurred in the assisted children both in terms of attitude and education. It can be concluded that PKBM education has a positive impact on assisted children so that they are more easily integrated when they return to society.
