Upaya Peningkatan Kesejahteraan Anggota Kelompok Petani Kentang Marsada Jaya di Desa Pertibi Tembe Kecamatan Merek Kabupaten Karo

Abstract

This research aims to analyze efforts to improve the well-being of potato farmers through farmer groups in Pertibi Tembe Village, Merek District, Karo Regency. The research methods employed include interviews with group members, observation, documentation, and data analysis using qualitative methods. The results of the research indicate that farmer groups play a crucial role in enhancing the income of potato farmers and the well-being of their members. Through collaboration in high- quality seedling production, marketing of their produce, and technical training, potato farmers can enhance their productivity. The research results demonstrate that the efforts of the Marsada Jaya Farmer Group, through agricultural intensification, collective work, the use of superior seeds, and profit-sharing systems, have positively impacted the well-being of the members of the Marsada Jaya Potato Farmer Group. The welfare of the members themselves is measured using 5 indicators of family welfare issued by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS).
