Persons with disabilities are people who have physical, mental, intellectual or sensory limitations for a long period of time. Even though they have limitations, every human being has inherent dignity and worth. Nowadays, people with disabilities can develop their talents, one of which is in the field of sports, namely becoming athletes. One of the factors that influences athletes' performance in competitions and training is self-confidence. This self-confidence can arise from social support. The presence of social support will build a sense of self-confidence. This research was conducted at the Indonesian National Paralympic Committee (NPCI) Medan City. This research aims to determine the social support of families of athletes with disabilities in increasing self-confidence in the Indonesian National Paralympic Committee (NPCI) Medan City. The theories used are Radmacher's social support theory and Hakim's self-confidence theory. Researchers used a qualitative research method, a descriptive approach. The results of the research show that family social support increases the self-confidence of athletes with disabilities NPCI Medan City. Athletes have 12 characteristics of self-confidence and this self-confidence improves the performance of athletes with disabilities.
