Peran Pekerja Sosial dalam Pendampingan Penderita Gangguan Jiwa Psikotik di Yayasan Satu Hati Membangun Medan, Sumatera Utara
Abstract
Social welfare is a condition of fulfillment of physical, spiritual, material, mental, biological, social and intellectual needs in sustaining the existence of individuals, groups and communities. From the point of view of social well-being, the people who suffer from the mental disorder are those who are biologically and spiritually poor. The research was conducted at the Yayasan satu hati membangun, Medan, Sumatera Utara, using seven informants consisting of one key informant, three main informants and two additional informants. Data collection techniques use qualitative methods with interviews, observations and documentation. So that we can finally draw conclusions from the results of the research. The results of the research show that the role of the social worker in the support of patients with psychotic disorders runs in accordance with the role theory of social workers where according to the theory the most important role is as a motivator. With the role of the social worker in the resocialization phase preparing the suffering psychotic disorders more confident and increasingly able to develop with the presence of the step of further guidance given by the social workers at the yayasan Satu Hati Membangun, Medan, Sumatera Utara
