Pembuatan dan Karakterisasi Beton Polimer Menggunakan Zeolit Alam Pahae Dengan Resin Polyester Serta Serat Kulit Jagung Sebagai Filler
Abstract
Research has been conducted on polymer concrete with sand aggregate and natural zeolite pahae and corn husk fiber as filler using hotpress at 170 oC for 30 minutes. with the aim to determine the effect of reducing zeolite and adding corn husk fiber to the manufacture of polymer concrete with the composition (60:20:0), (60:18:2), (60:16:4), (60:14:6), (60:12 ,8) in units of % by weight with 20% polyester resin. Composition (60:15:0), (60:13:2), (60:11:4), (60:9:6), (60:7:8) in % by weight with 25% polyester resin. And the composition (60:10:0), (60:8:2), (60:6:4), (60:4:6), (60:2:8) in units of % by weight with 30% polyester resin . Parameters tested included physical tests (density, porosity, and water absorption), mechanical tests (tensile strength, flexural strength, and compressive strength), as well as microstructure and elemental content tests using SEM-EDX. the test results show that the optimum physical properties for density is 1.912 g/cm2, porosity is 1.85%, and water absorption is 0.96%. meanwhile, the optimum mechanical properties in the tensile strength test, namely 255.5 MPa, flexural strength of 40,958 MPa, and compressive strength of 31,498 MPa. as well as the results of morphological and elemental analysis showing the pores formed, magnification of polyester, and elements loaded in the concrete polymer sample
