dc.description.abstract | Worms are an endemic disease caused by infection with one or more types of intestinal nematodes. The resulting impacts include malnutrition, growth and development disorders, children's cognitive disorders, and result in a decrease in children's health conditions and productivity. WHO (2016) more than 1.5 billion people or are infected with worms that are transmitted through the soil. According to the results of the national worm survey (Ditjen P2PL, 2019) it was stated that 31.8% of elementary school students had worms. The lack of clean and healthy living habits makes worm disease more common in children, so health promotion is important for elementary school children as a preventive measure. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health promotion with videos and posters on knowledge and attitudes about helminthiasis in children at SDN 105337 Pantai Labu Pekan. This research isquasi eksperiment design dengan non equivalent control group design. The research sample is 40 people. Data collection tool using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed usinguji wilcoxon rank test. The results of the research test showed that there was a difference in the average value of knowledge before (2.80) and after (18.40) with a value of p = 0.000 and the attitude of children before (5.40) and after 19.30 was given video media intervention, then there was also a difference in the average value of knowledge before (3.50) and after (16.20) and the attitude of the children before (9.90) and after (18.30) were given the media poster intervention with p = 0.000. However, at the end of the study it was found that video media had more influence on knowledge (18.40) and attitudes (19.30). The conclusion is that there is an effect of health promotion using video and poster media on knowledge and attitudes about helminthiasis, the suggestions given by video and poster media are used as health promotion media. | en_US |
