Hubungan Pengetahuan dan Sikap Perawat dengan Pelaksanaan Keselamatan Pasien (Patient Safety) di Ruang Rawat Inap RSU Mitra Sejati Medan Tahun 2021
Abstract
Patient safety is a system to ensure safer patient care. Mitra Sejati Medan hospital is one of the health services that have the potential to cause injury or events that have an impact on patient safety. In 2020, every month there are near-injury events (KNC), non-injury events (KTC), unexpected events (KTD), potential injury events (KPC) in the outpatient unit. Therefore this study aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of nurses with the implementation of patient safety in the inpatient room of Mitra Sejati General Hospital Medan. This type of research is a quantitative study using a cross sectional design. The research was conducted at the Mitra Sejati General Hospital in Medan which was carried out from April 2021 to completion. The population of this research is the nurses in the inpatient room of RSU Mitra Sejati, totaling 151 people, with a sample size of 59 people. Based on the characteristics of the nurses, it was found that 40.7 percent were aged 36-45 years, 76.3 percent were female, 37.3 percent had a bachelor's degree in Nursing, 50.8 percent worked ≤ 5 years and 79.7 percent had attended patient training. safety. Based on the results of the study, 76.3 percent of nurses had good knowledge and 72.9 percent of nurses had good attitudes and it was found that there was a relationship between nurse knowledge (p=0.021) and nurse attitude (p=0.013) with the implementation of patient safety safety) in the inpatient room of RSU Mitra Sejati Medan. It is hoped that the hospital management will ensure that all nurses have attended training on patient safety, and can provide additional briefings every day to remind all nurses regarding patient safety that must be carried out.
