Implementasi Program Promotif dan Preventif pada Pelayanan Kesehatan Ibu Hamil di Puskesmas Mandala Tahun 2020
Abstract
Promotive and preventive services are the main functions of puskesmas, which are currently decreasing because puskesmas are more orientated towards curative services. One problem that is quite difficult to overcome in improving health status is the high maternal mortality rate (MMR). Indonesia's current health status is still showing a bad condition, as evidenced by the still high MMR. MMR is an indicator to see the success of maternal health efforts. This research uses a descriptive research type with a qualitative approach that aims to determine the implementation of promotive and preventive services at the Mandala Health Center in depth. Data collection methods were in-depth interviews and observations with 6 research informants, namely the head of the puskesmas, health promotion officers, cadres and pregnant women. The research results show that the puskesmas already has adequate promotive and preventive staff and they serve pregnant women both inside and outside the building, while cadres still need more training in serving pregnant women. The infrastructure at the puskesmas is adequate, but the availability of electronic media is not optimal and the implementation of promotive and preventive programs has not been implemented optimally in the working area of the puskesmas so that not all pregnant women receive education. The Mandala Health Center utilizes facilities and infrastructure, especially electronic media. It is hoped that pregnant women will be more active and participate in the activities carried out by the puskesmas. It is hoped that the Medan City Health Office can improve supervision of promotive and preventive programs for health services for pregnant women so that the health services provided by the puskesmas run optimally.
