Analisis Faktor Penyebab Kecelakaan Kerja pada Pekerja Bagian Produksi PT. Pabrik Es Siantar Kota Pematangsiantar
Abstract
Workplace accidents are one of the unavoidable effects of workplace safety. Because
they include equipment and glass, operations that produce soda drinks are among
those that run the risk of workplace accidents. This study's goal was to identify the
elements that contribute to workplace accidents among the production staff at PT
Pabrik Es Siantar in Pematangsiantar City. A qualitative research methodology was
applied. One major informant and six supporting informants were questioned indepth,
and information was also gathered through observation. The study's findings
indicate that five manufacturing workers who had workplace injuries were struck in
the face, especially in the eyes, and scraped by bottle caps, broken glass, squeezed
fingers in the bottle road, and bottle caps. Workplace accidents are caused by
management elements like the OHS program, effective monitoring, and minimal
non-compliance with OHS rules. Human aspects include worker understanding of
the industrial process and its hazards, which is normally positive, but also physical
exhaustion, especially in the neck. The work factor is that the SOP are followed in
accordance with corporate standards, barriers exist while performing dangerous
tasks (using PPE), particularly when PPE is not worn entirely, but there are no
barriers when utilizing work equipment. Beverage filling equipment has drawbacks
that are commonly problematic and risky condition elements (work equipment) that
can break bottles. The survey claims that workplace accidents are most often caused
by employee conversation while they are working. Other causes include poor
management techniques, difficulties with equipment, such as machines that
regularly experience damage that might result in glass bottles bursting, and
uncooperative employees. It is anticipated that management would set up strict rules
and sanctions for violators, launch OHS efforts including safety meetings, accident
investigations, inspections, create SOP manuals, and schedule routine machine
checks
