Analisis Sistem Cold Chain Vaksin di Dinas Kesehatan Kota Medan Tahun 2022
Abstract
Vaccines require a storage and distribution system that can maintain the
temperature from the manufacturing process to the injection of patients. This
quality control system for vaccines is commonly known as the vaccine cold chain.
This study was conducted to assess the compliance of the vaccine cold chain system
at the Health Department of Medan City with the 2020 CDOB guidelines and the
Minister of Health Regulation Number 12 of 2017. The research utilized a
qualitative approach with data collection techniques such as observation,
interviews, and documentation. The results of the study revealed that there were
still inconsistencies in the cold chain system at the Health Department of Medan
City with the 2020 CDOB guidelines and the Minister of Health Regulation Number
12 of 2017. Deviations were identified in the areas of infrastructure and facilities,
storage and distribution, as well as vaccine maintenance. Therefore, efforts are
needed to improve the vaccine cold chain system at the Health Department of
Medan City. These efforts include enhancing coordination among relevant
departments, conducting regular equipment maintenance, and providing training
for staff members involved. It is expected that these measures will enhance the
effectiveness and efficiency of the vaccine cold chain management at the Health
Department of Medan City in 2022 and beyond.
