Analisis Timbal Dan Keluhan Kesehatan Kulit Wajah pada Pengguna Produk Kosmetik Bedak yang Beredar di Pajak Usu Kota Medan
Abstract
Lead in talcum powder can cause consumers exposure and have a negative effect on facial skin. The purpose of the study was to determine the lead content, characteristics of powder and powder users, as well as facial skin health complaints of powder users circulating in USU Tax. This type of research is descriptive. The population in this study is all consumers who buy cosmetic products at USU Tax. The research sample amounted to 50 respondents taken by accidental sampling method with predetermined criteria. The data is analyzed descriptively in the form of tables and narratives. The results showed that 5 talcum powder samples tested contained lead with the highest level of 0.747 mg / kg. The characteristics of the powder that are widely used are the type of powder as many as 27 people, the 5 powders are not registered with BPOM and contain raw materials containing lead. The characteristics of respondents were the most in the range of 17-25 years as many as 41 people and the majority of jobs as female students were 25 people. As many as 37 people (74.0%) felt complaints with the most complaints being rough and dry skin, which was 25 people (50.0%). The conclusion of this study is that 5 samples of talcum powder contain lead with the highest level of 0.747 mg / kg. The powder that is widely used is a type of talcum powder, not registered with BPOM. Respondents were more in the range of 17-25 years and the majority of jobs were as students. 37 people (74.0%) respondents experienced facial skin health complaints with the most types of complaints, namely rough and dry skin, which was 25 people (50.0%). To BPOM to hold stricter supervision of the composition of raw materials of powder in Medan City.
