dc.description.abstract | Noise is an unwanted sound from the presence of a business or activity that can interfere with human health and comfort of environment. This research was done to the workers of rice mill X which located in Langkat district in 2022 to analyze the effect of noise levels with the changes of blood pressure. The type of this research is analytic survey research with prospective cohort study research design. The sample in this study is population of workers in the rice mill as many as 30 people. Data analysis used Wilcoxon test and Spearman Correlation test. The result of the research shows that in general the noise levels in rice mill >85 dB(A) with average 87 dB(A). The result of bivariat research shows value p<0,001 which mean there is the different of blood pressure before and after work by difference 11,88 mmHg for systolic (p<0,001) and 11,25 mmHg for diastolic (p<0,001). There is a significant relation between noise levels with the changes of blood pressure (systolic p=0,001, r=0,571; diastolic p=0,014, r=0,445). Workers who have health complaints as much as 40% with the most health complaints suffered in the last month are headaches and dizziness 33,3%. It is suggested to the owner of rice mill to make a silencer in noise source, apply alternating working system, or provide ear proctection. It is suggested to the workers to use ear protection and routine in doing blood pressure check. | en_US |
