dc.description.abstract | The manufacture of sodium lignosulfonate surfactant from passion fruit
peel using the delignification and sulfonation processes has a capacity of 9,000
tons/year and operates 330 days a year. The main process in this design consists of
three stages, namely the raw material preparation stage, the delignification stage,
and the sulfonation stage. At the delignification stage, a soda process was applied
using sodium hydroxide as a cooking solution at a temperature of 90°C for 1.5
hours. In the sulfonation stage, the operation is carried out at a temperature of
90°C for 3 hours using sodium bisulfite as a sulfonation agent. The amount of
passion fruit skin required to reach annual production capacity is 1,652.47
kg/hour.
The factory is planned to be established in Asahan Regency, North
Sumatra Province, with a total area of 24,000 m2.The planned form of company
organization is a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a total of 145 employees.
The results of the economic analysis of the surfactant manufacturing
factory obtained are as follows:
1. Capital Investment (CI) = Rp484.767.625.379
2. Total Cost (TC) = Rp185.042.984.904
3. Profit Margin (PM) = 53,02%
4. Break Even Point (BEP) = 39,95%
5. Return on Investment (ROI) = 53,44%
6. Return on Network (RON) = 53,44%
7. Pay Out Time (POT) = 3 tahun 1 bulan
8. Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 26,146%
Based on economic analysis, it can be concluded that the design of a
sodium lignosulfonate surfactant factory from passion fruit peel is feasible to be
established. | en_US |
