dc.description.abstract | Introduction: WHO 2023 reported maternal mortality rate in the whole world tend to be stagnan or rising. WHO reported a mother died every 2 minutes due to pregnancy or labor. Indonesia itself reported their 2023 MMR is still in 305 per
100.000 live births and 36% of this MMR happened in delivery phase. The Infant Mortality Rate also affected from the Maternal Mortality Rate due to labor. IMR in Indonesia is still in 24 per 1.000 live births. BKKBN noted the problems often faced in reducing these MMR and IMR are “Tiga Terlambat dan Empat Terlalu”, in which the family planning becomes the main pile to prevent this issue. Preparation for delivery also takes part in the family planning to prevent Maternal and Infant Mortality Rate in delivery phase. Aim: the aim of this research is to describe the knowledge level of pregnant women about the preparation of vaginal delivery in Puskesmas Laguboti, Toba, North Sumatera. Method: this research used cross sectional design using questionnaire. This research has been done using total sampling with the total of 82 respondents. After done filling the questionnaire, the mothers also given the education about the right way of preparing for vaginal delivery. Results: the knowledge level of pregnant women in Puskesmas Laguboti about preparation for vaginal delivery is dominantly enough (46.3%). The knowledge level of physical (54.9%), psychology (50%), and financial (36.6%) preparation is also dominantly enough, but the knowledge level of social and cultural preparation is dominantly well (43.9%). Conclusion: the knowledge of pregnant women in Puskesmas Laguboti about vaginal delivery preparation is already enough with the characteristic of respondent in this research is dominantly pregnant mother in early adult, last educational background is in high school, works as housewife, and have been in 2nd trimester pregnancy, and also Bataknese. | en_US |
