Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Ketahanan Hidup Pasien Geriatri yang Menjalani Hemodialisis Reguler di Rumah Sakit Prof. Dr. Chairuddin P. Lubis USU Tahun 2022
Abstract
Introduction. The United States Renal Data System noted in 2020, prevalence of
chronic kidney disease among the geriatric population reached approximately
63.2% in individuals aged 65-74 years and 77.9% in individuals aged ≥75 years.
The Indonesian Renal Registry noted in 2018, 14.4% of geriatric patients were still
actively undergoing regular hemodialysis in hospitals until December 2018. This
prevalence tends to increase every year. Objective. To determine the factors that
influence survival of geriatric patients undergoing regular hemodialysis at Prof.
Dr. Chairuddin P. Lubis USU Hospital in 2022. Methods. This is an analytical
study with a cross-sectional design using secondary data taken from medical
records. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately. Results. There were 37
samples. Most of the samples were male (51.4%) with an age range of 60-74 years
(83.8%), hemodialysis duration of 12-24 months (43.2%), had comorbidities of
hypertension (62.2%), and hemoglobin levels <10gr/dl (70.3%). The 75-month
survival rate of the sample was 20%. Conclusion. Factors that have a significant
effect on patient survival are the length of hemodialysis, with the results of patients
who have undergone hemodialysis for >36 months having greater survival (p =
<0.001).
