Efek Terapi Awal Obat Anti Tuberkulosis terhadap Rasio Neutrofil Limfosit pada TBC Paru Anak sebagai Indikator Keberhasilan Terapi
Abstract
Background. Tuberculosis (TBC) remains a major threat to health, especially in children, and
there are several difficulties in assessing both diagnosis and the success of therapy. The
neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (RNL) is a biomarker that is easy to obtain, and does not require
costs.
Objective. To determine the effect of initial TBC therapy on RNL.
Method. Quantitative study with descriptive analytical research design with a cohort
retrospective approach. The data is secondary data in the form of medical records of pediatric
pulmonary TB patients at RSKP Medan 2022-August 2023. Patient characteristics, number of
leukocytes, neutrophils and lymphocytes as well as RNL were recorded and analyzed using
SPSS.
Results. There were 75 samples, of which 43 (57.3%) were male with a median age of 6 years.
The average RNL before therapy (2.2) was higher than the RNL after initial TBC therapy (1.23)
(p=0.000).
Conclusion. There was a statistically significant decrease in the ratio of neutrophils to
lymphocytes in pediatric pulmonary TBC patients after initial TBC therapy.
